Counselling for Burnout & Overwhelm
When you're always the one holding everything together.
Online counselling across the UK - Book a free 15 minute phone call.
Somewhere along the way, you've stopped recognising yourself.
You're exhausted, overwhelmed and constantly carrying the weight of everyone else's needs. From the outside, it probably looks like you're coping. You keep going to work, looking after your family, replying to messages and ticking things off the never ending list.
Inside, though, you're running on empty.
Burnout rarely happens overnight. It can build quietly over months or years of putting yourself last, until eventually you realise that something has to change.
You don't have to keep pushing through.
I offer warm, compassionate online counselling for adults experiencing burnout, overwhelm and chronic stress, with a particular focus on supporting women and neurodivergent adults.
Sessions are available online across the UK, with in-person appointments also available in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

Burnout isn't always about work
Burnout can happen when life asks too much of you for too long.
It may be the pressure of work, but it can also come from parenting, caring for others, relationship difficulties, chronic stress, perfectionism or always being the person everyone depends on.
For many women, burnout develops after years of carrying the invisible mental load, remembering, organising, worrying and anticipating what everyone else needs, while putting their own needs somewhere near the bottom of the list.
For neurodivergent adults, the constant effort of masking ADHD or autism, trying to fit in, managing expectations or feeling like you're somehow "too much" or "not enough" can be exhausting.
Sometimes there isn't one obvious reason you've reached this point. It's simply that you've been carrying too much for too long.
Whatever has brought you here, burnout can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and from the life you want to be living.
Does this sound familiar?
Perhaps you are:
Constantly tired, no matter how much you rest.
Struggling to switch off, even when you have time to relax.
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally numb.
Finding everyday tasks harder than they used to be.
Saying yes when you really want to say no.
Burnout doesn't just affect your energy. It can affect your relationships, your confidence, your work and your ability to enjoy the things you once loved.
You may find yourself withdrawing from the people around you because you simply don't have anything left to give. Or perhaps you're becoming more irritable and then feeling awful about how you've reacted.
How counselling can help
Therapy gives you space to stop holding everything on your own.
Together, we'll gently explore what's led to your burnout and begin to understand the patterns that may have kept you going for so long, whether that's people pleasing, perfectionism, masking, constantly putting others first or feeling that you always have to cope.
Counselling isn't about telling you to simply slow down or practise better self-care. It's about understanding why you've reached this point and finding ways of living that feel more manageable, authentic and sustainable. There is no judgement, no pressure to have the right words and no expectation that you should simply "try harder".
We'll work at your pace, creating space for you to reconnect with yourself and begin to work out what you need.
