Clinical Supervision.
I offer online clinical supervision for both student and qualified counsellors, providing a supportive but appropriately challenging space to help you navigate your caseload and your role as a practitioner.
As a supervisor, I work alongside you to look at the bigger picture not just your clients, but how you fit into the work, the systems around you, and the stage of development you’re at as a counsellor.
My experience.
I have over 5 years’ experience providing clinical supervision across a range of settings, including:
the charity sector
schools
private practice
Alongside supervision, I have extensive experience managing teams of student counsellors within a charity setting. This has given me a strong understanding of placement requirements, training pressures, and the realities students face when developing their practice.
I am a qualified counsellor and an NCPS accredited practitioner, and I work in line with professional and ethical frameworks.
Supporting student counsellors.
Working with student counsellors is a particular specialism of mine.
Many students come to supervision unsure how to use the space effectively, often feeling anxious about doing things ‘right’ or worried about making mistakes. I support students to:
understand how to use supervision confidently and productively
make sense of client work and case presentations
navigate ethical dilemmas and safeguarding concerns
manage confidence and imposter syndrome
meet course and placement requirements
My approach is shaped by years of experience supporting students on placement, helping them develop a solid foundation for future practice rather than simply getting through training.
Working with qualified counsellors.
For qualified counsellors, supervision offers space to reflect on client work, professional development, and the wider context you’re working within.
I offer supervision that adapts to your experience level and needs whether you’re newly qualified, returning to practice, or established and looking for a thoughtful, reflective supervisory relationship.
How I work as a supervisor.
My supervision style adapts to the supervisee, rather than following a rigid structure.
I work primarily with a supervision model grounded in three key functions:
Normative – ethical practice, professional standards, and safeguarding
Formative – learning, development, and skill building
Restorative – support, reflection, and sustainability in the work
Challenge is offered gently and appropriately, taking into account your developmental stage and experience. Ethical responsibility is always central, ensuring you remain aware of your professional duties and accountability.
