Practical, down to earth therapy for when you feel burnt out, stuck, or overwhelmed.
Feeling like you should be coping better, but you’re running on empty?
I’m a practical, supportive counsellor offering straightforward therapy for adults experiencing burnout, and for children and young people who are struggling to manage their emotions. I work in a way that’s human, non‑jargon, and focused on helping you understand yourself better without judgement or pressure.
Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, I offer in‑person sessions locally and online therapy across the UK.
When life feels too much.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed and unsure what to do for the best.
For adults, this often looks like:
constant exhaustion and burnout
feeling like everyone else is coping better
carrying the mental load for everyone else
people‑pleasing at the expense of your own needs
feeling disconnected from who you really are
For parents, it can look like worry about your child’s wellbeing, schooling, and future especially when your child is finding emotions hard to manage and doesn’t know how to ask for help.
Therapy can offer a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and begin to find a way forward that feels manageable and realistic.
How I work.
I offer relaxed, supportive talk therapy that adapts to the person in front of me.
Some people want space to talk things through. Others find talking difficult, so I also use creative and practical approaches when that feels more helpful. There’s no one size fits all way of working. We go at your pace and focus on what feels most important for you.
I work in plain language and keep things grounded. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you or giving quick answers it’s about understanding yourself better, making sense of your experiences, and gradually allowing yourself to be who you are rather than who you feel you should be.
Who I support.
Adults experiencing burnout.
I work with adults, particularly women who feel overwhelmed, worn down, and stuck. Many of my clients are neurodivergent and have spent years pushing themselves to keep going, often at the cost of their own wellbeing.
Burnout therapy can help you:
recognise what’s contributing to your burnout
understand your limits without guilt
develop healthier ways of coping
reconnect with yourself
Children & young people (ages 10–17).
I support children and young people who are struggling to manage their emotions, feel overwhelmed, or are finding everyday life hard to navigate.
For therapy to be helpful, young people need to want to engage. When a child isn’t ready, I also support parents helping them understand what’s happening for their child and how they can offer support at home. A dedicated parent support package is currently in development.
Clinical supervision.
I offer online clinical supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors. Supporting student counsellors is a particular specialism, drawing on my experience managing student placements within a charity setting.
A little about me.
I’m a practical, down to earth counsellor who works with people who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck.
I came into this work through personal experience both my own and that of people close to me. I know how isolating it can feel when you’re struggling but believe you should be coping better. Being able to offer someone the chance to feel heard and understood, sometimes for the first time, is what continues to motivate me.
I’ve personally experienced burnout, and I understand how easily it can creep up when you’re used to putting everyone else first. That experience shapes how I work with compassion, realism, and an understanding of the bigger picture of your life.
I aim to create a relaxed space where you don’t need to perform, or have everything figured out and feel understood and supported.
I am accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in line with their ethical framework.
